Too long gone.

I came back to the blog to look for when Miles started talking.  I quickly realized that poor Mr. Calvin isn't going to have a chronicle of his life like Miles did.  So I need to get on it!  Poor second child.  :(  Mama's failed him.

What's he doing now?  He's crawling very quickly where he wants to go.  He's also started (in the last week) throwing tantrums.  If you tell him "no", he bows his head and starts crying really pitifully and then if that doesn't get him anywhere he falls into the floor and starts thrashing about.  It's actually kinda funny.  He's saying "Ma-ma" and "Da-da" all the time now.  He gave me a kiss, which was more like he wanted to bite me, but didn't.  :)  I'll take it!

He's also eating food...like real people food.  He loves it.  Last night Brad gave him 3 pieces of bread and he ate them all.  He was also a big fan of cornbread apparently.

He's like a baby shark.  He has 11 teeth.  The four in the front on top and bottom and 2 incisors and 1 molar.  (they've come through...not totally out yet)

As for Miles, he's getting ready to start kindergarten.  We got the teacher we wanted.  She's very nice and is one of Brad's friends from high school.  He's very, very excited!  He's been having a hard time listening lately, but the past couple of days have been good.  So I'm hoping we're coming out of it.  We'll see.  :)

A few things my sweet Milesy has done lately.  I was sick Sat-Sun and I fell asleep in the chair upstairs and while I was sleeping Miles came over and kissed my head twice and when I woke up he told me he was sorry I was sick.  *tears*

I'm one incredibly blessed mama.

...my children would grow up to be well-loved and held in high esteem by their peers.

Kinda like these guys.
See the similarities?  Born leaders?  I hope so!

...this would be more recent.

Another post from the other blog on 11/20.

I post stuff on Facebook all the time because it's quick and easy and more of my friends and family see it than they do my blog.  But I don't want to forget any of it...so here I go.  :)

-->
9/12/12 –
Me: Miles, we need to do your homework for the week after dinner.
Miles: Yay! I get to stay up late to do homework!

Haha! Nice try small fry! Hated to ruin his excitement about homework...

10/7/12-
Miles at Salsarita's:
"I like big butts and I cannot lie. When they get in your face you get sprung."

Yep. I've created a monster. This. Is. Not. Good.

10/30/12-
Watching Charlotte's Web with Miles.

Miles: Mommy, we don't kill pigs.
Me: That's how we get bacon and sausage.
Miles: Yeah, but we don't have to kill them!

So I guess he thinks we just shave the bacon off them? Yikes. Looks like we'll have to clarify that someday...but not today.

10/30/12-
Miles told me yesterday his new nickname is "Magic Mike". Fortunately he has his mother's rhythm...should have NOTHING to worry about.

11/4/12-
Well it happened. Miles asked how Calvin was made. Yep...HOW. I hesitated and he said "Did God make him?" I took the out. No further explanation necessary...thanks God!

11/15/12-
I didn't post this convo earlier because I wasn't sure how it would go over, but it's too hysterical NOT to share.

Miles: What's inside a pea?
Granny: Pea-ness
Miles: Eeewwww! I don't like penis. I'm never gonna eat penis!
Granny: Thats not the kind of pea-ness I was talking about!

Funniest conversation ever had in our kitchen.

11/16/12-
Awwww! It just happened. Miles said he wants to marry me. *tears*

I burst his bubble by telling him he'd want to marry some other beautiful blonde one day. ;)

11/17/12-
Miles is big into rhyming right now. Like REALLY into it. I'm waiting for an F-bomb any day.

So Brad brought him a stuffed monkey from Vegas. I asked him what he wanted to name him.

Miles: Uhm...chimp?
Me: Ok. That's pretty simple.
Miles: Uhm. Chimp Pimp?

...I would post on here more often..but alas...here I am dumping a bunch of stuff.

From another blog I have...but I meant to post here...

This is from 9/20/12.

Mr. Calvin will be here in 6 days or less.  His eviction day is 9/26...unless he decides to jump ship sooner, which Mama is hoping for.  :)

We've had a lot of comments about his name.  The polite people kindly say "Oh is that a family name?" which translates to "Why would you choose that unless it's a family thing?"  The not as polite people say "Oh." and leave it at that.  So just like I did with Miles, I'm going to explain where we got his name for all the naysayers.

Calvin Emerson C.

Calvin is a family name on my Mom's side.  Her father's name was John Calvin.  I am also a HUGE Calvin & Hobbes fan.  It's also not a popular name.  We're not trendy people, as you know.  ;)

Emerson is a nod to me.  With Miles we made his middle name "Brady" after Brad.  So Calvin will have Emerson after me.  Coincidentally, after we decided on Emerson, I found out that the sweetest, cutest little old man I've ever met (Mom's youth group leader from when she was in high school) is named Emerson.

Our last name obviously starts with a C.  So his initials will be CEC, which is a nod to my Dad, who we lost in March to cancer.  So his name is very special and very well thought out.  It is a strong name that will always remind me of my Dad.  Hopefully he'll be as strong as Dad...perhaps not as stubborn (God help us!), but strong and compassionate would be great.  :)

Now he just needs to get here so we can snuggle him.  haha.  :)

...this pregnancy would be as easy breezy as Miles' pregnancy.

But alas...it's not.  First of all, this kid apparently is a giant.  He's measuring 2 weeks ahead and is on track to be at least 9 pounds.  We'll see how that turns out.  Second, I'm enjoying the lovely disorder called Pubic Symphysis Disorder this time around.  Many second time Moms get to enjoy it...I suppose because of either having had a baby (vaginally) or (in my case) everything having been stretched out before...things stretch a little too much the second go around.

Last night by the time I got in bed I was nearly in tears.  Everything from my mid-back down to my knees was hurting...seriously hurting.  It hurt to roll over, even with a pillow between my legs it hurt to lay down.  I took a hot (not too hot) bath to hopefully ease the muscle tension...no luck.  Then I was just hot...too hot to be under the covers.  I tried sleeping with the Snoogle, but had to abandon that in the middle of the night and sleep sitting up.  That did help a bit.  It didn't hurt quite as bad to get up after I'd slept like that for a while.

So anyway, I'm ready to be done.  I want my body back.  I'm at THAT point...the one where you're just ready to have an outside baby and be back to doing what you did before.  Having a c-section, I know it will take longer than a few pushes to get there...but I'll take that over this any day.

I want to be able to play with my first little man.  Fortunately he is 4 and smart...so he understands I can't play because Calvin is in my tummy and it hurts to get down on the floor.  So he understands, but I see the way he lights up when I do get to play with him.  It makes him the happiest kid ever.  So I'm ready to be able to do that again.  I made him a fort yesterday out of the couch and ottomans and a blanket.  You would've thought I built him a replica of the Taj Mahal.  It was fabulous.  Highlight of my very long day for sure.

So that's where we are.  32 weeks today.  C-section scheduled for 39 weeks and 3 days.  So we have another 7 weeks ahead of us...if we make it that long.  He's pretty big and pretty active.  Some days it feels like he's trying to bust out of there Alien-style.  Let's hope THAT doesn't happen without a trained surgical professional handy to clean up the mess!

17 weeks and cooking!

Had another doc appointment Monday.  Baby's heartbeat is right on track, albeit slower than Miles' (does that mean it's a girl?).  We scheduled our anatomy scan for my birthday.  Brad and I have decided to find out that morning and then keep it a secret until the following Saturday where we'll have a "Sex Party" to announce to our close friends and family.

I'm very excited!  I wanted to do that with Miles, but I never got to it.  This is our last hurrah so why not go all out?  On top of all that our family has been through hell for the last 7 months.  It's time to celebrate something...even if it is something silly.  So we're gonna.

Here's the bump at 17 weeks.

Little babe is right on track!

Had another great appointment today.  Over the weekend I couldn't shake the feeling that there was no heartbeat and when I went in this morning I was going to find out that the baby had stopped growing.  I know, I know.  I need to stop worrying about nothing.  Brad says if I could find a way to capitalize on how much I worry we'd be rich.  Sadly, I can think of no way to manage that.  :-)

So the baby, which I like to call "she", is back on schedule.  They originally moved my due date back a few days because the early ultrasounds were consistently 3 days off.  But today she was measuring exactly 13 weeks.  So they moved me up to 10/1 from 10/4.  So we're right back to where we started.  :-)  We had our NT scan this morning that measures the nuchal fold on the back of the baby's head to guage the risk of chromosomal abnormalities like Down Syndrome and two others that I can't think of right now.  We measured in the "normal range", but they sent off my bloodwork to get a better idea of if we're in the clear or not.

I feel great though about it all.  Very reassured, which is just what I needed after losing our last baby in October.  So this little fighter is doing great.  Such a huge relief.  On the ultrasound I got to see her flip around and kick her legs and wave her arms.  It was fabulous.  Brad couldn't get away from work this morning so he missed it, which makes me sad...but we're both relieved by the good news.

Here's a pic of our little babe from this morning.  They wouldn't give us a gender guess like they sometimes do...this ultrasound tech said it's too early and she wouldn't feel confident guessing right now.  So I'm good with that.  I'd be so disappointed if she told me one thing and then in May we find out she was all wrong.  So it's for the best!  :-)

The belly - 12 weeks

- Posted using BlogPress from my iPhone
Well, a little update.  Sorry I don't keep up as often as I used to.  I'll try to do better.  There are so many times each week I say in my head "I don't want to forget this moment!" so I need to start writing them down.

We lost my Dad.  It was, obviously, incredibly painful and sad, but yet also a relief too for him to not be suffering anymore.  I dreaded telling Miles so badly.  I sat him on the couch beside me and we had a conversation that went like this:

Mommy:  Buddy, do you remember how Poppy was sick and couldn't get out of bed by himself and couldn't walk and he looked very different?
Miles:  Yes.
Mommy:  Well, when Mommy was gone yesterday night she was with Granny and Poppy and Poppy went to heaven.  So he's not sick anymore and he feels great because in heaven no one hurts and everyone is happy.
Miles:  So is Jesus taking care of him now?
Mommy:  Yes he is.  And Poppy is feeling much better.

And that was that.  He got it too.  I haven't had to repeat it or explain it again.  He just gets it.  I've made a conscious effort to continue talking about Poppy and reminding Miles of things Poppy loved...songs, candies, etc.  Then on the night I came home from the visitation in Ashland I was putting him to bed and he asked me to sing him a song.  So I sang "Live Forever" because I'd heard it a million times over the weekend on the slideshow my cousin Amanda did for Dad.  When I was done I told him it was Poppy's favorite song.  His response:  "Mommy, I didn't get to say good-bye."

Cue the waterworks.

I told him that he didn't really need to say good-bye to Poppy because Poppy's not necessarily gone, he's just up in heaven waiting for us.  But that if he wanted to tell him good-bye he could and Poppy could hear him just like Jesus can anytime we talk to him.  He waved from his bed up toward the ceiling to say good-bye to Poppy.  I seriously do not understand why I got so lucky to have such a caring, compassionate, loving child.  He is amazing and he makes each day better.  Never ceases to amaze me really.

Monday he told me that I'm "the sweetest Mommy in all the world."  Then yesterday we were waiting for Brad to get home from the gym and Miles was playing outside and I was vacuuming up the bag of rice cakes he accidentally dumped in the floor of my car.  All of the sudden he was beside me tapping on my legs.  I looked at him and he opened his arms and asked for a "huggie".  So I gave him one and he said "Mommy, I missed you so much today."  And again...how did I get so lucky?!

He is very excited about his "baby sister".  Yes, he's sure it's a girl.  He has asked us to name her Shelby Lynn or Laura.  Neither of those will be the baby's name, but it's super sweet he's giving suggestions.  he already loves his baby sister.  Now let's hope it's a girl!  haha!  We get to see the baby again on Monday at an ultrasound...sometimes the u/s tech will give you a guess at the sex of the baby.  I'm definitely going to beg and plead for them to give me a guess.  :-)  I'll keep you posted!

Oh and I'll post a pic of my current belly (in all it's giganticness) right after this post.  It's on my phone...so I'll just post it from there by itself.

So...that's all that's going on here.  :-)  Trying to get life back to normal...whatever that is.

Coming out of the closet!

I've kept you in the dark for far too long!  We're officially expecting again.  It was our first round of clomid and we got lucky.  It's really just that simple.  :-)  The EDD is 10/4/12.  So I've gotten a lot of "10-4 good buddy!" from my friends and family, which is hilarious.  We had our second ultrasound yesterday and our little hippo is growing just perfectly on schedule.  They did move my due date back 3 days because baby has consistently measured 3 days behind...so we're assuming I ovulated or implanted 3 days later.  No big shock there.  When has MY body operated on anyone else's schedule but its own?  Egggzactly.

So we're thrilled.  Brad's hoping for a boy and I'm banking on a girl.  Miles changes his mind daily.  :-)  We'll be happy with whatever we get.  I know how to raise a little boy and I know they love their mamas something fierce.  So I win either way.  :-)  I'd just really like to buy pink frilly things.  Ya know?  And be able to say I've raised one of each.

So here SHE is.  :-)  Our little hippo.  (Aunt Shera was brave enough to come out and call her a hippo...and she's totally right.  Little bit looks just like a hippo!)

I know, I'm post-heavy today.  But I had a teeny bit of time and wanted to do a little updating on Miles.

I really need to update more often about what he's into and how he's doing.  Right now he's Spiderman, complete with the old theme song and everything (thanks Grandma!).  He got Spiderman jammies for Christmas from Aunt Nikki & Uncle Zac that he would wear every single night if I let him.  They have webbing under the arms.  Super cute.

He's really missing his mama.  I've been busy helping Mom and Dad and not that I've don't THAT much to help them...my brothers really are helping much more because they're closer...but still.  He's missing me on nights I'm not home and clinging to me like crazy when I am home.  I don't mind the lovin' from him, but sometimes it turns into acting out and being a turd.  I can't really tell if it's acting out because of absent Mama situation or if it's just that he's 3.5.  Either way it's tough sometimes.

But last night we had a nice evening.  He schooled Brad and I in Candyland.  Somehow that kid wins more often than not.  It's craziness.  He was very lovey and wonderful.  This morning when I dropped him at daycare he was soooooooooooo much better than he has been the last 2.5 weeks.

2011...Good riddance!

I wrote a very nice, sappy, LONG post about NYE and being glad to see 2011 go.  Unsurprisingly the damn thing disappeared from my iPad and the app stopped working.  It was lovely.  That was in 2011.  2012 is shaping up to be much better!

Mom and I celebrated NYE together, well she was asleep, in the hospital with Dad while his heart beat out of rhythm.  It was a very scary, long night.  Anyway, what we found is that the chemo he's been suffering through has done NOTHING to help him.  The cancer has continued to grow and just make him more sick.  So he stopped chemo and a week later Mom brought him home.  Hospice has been called in and we're prepared for anything.

He was in really, really bad shape when he came home, but as the chemo wore off he's been rebounding.  We can't tell if it's the last hurrah or if he's generally feeling better with the chemo out of his system.  To be honest, we don't give a damn.  He's generally in good spirits.  He's talking to us a LOT more...even cracking jokes.  He's our Dad again and we'll take any amount of time we can get of that.  So we're soaking it all up.

So to review 2011.  My Papaw died in April.  Dad started getting sick in March.  I had my gallbladder removed in July.  Dad found out his cancer was back and in a terminal state in September.  Back to the hospital for a wild ride NYE and also found out the end is MUCH closer than we all anticipated.

So 2011 can suck a big fat...toe.  It was awful.  I mean there were good times mixed in otherwise we all would've lost our minds.  Nic & Evaline got married.  Erin & Thom had Emma.  Brad got a new, much better job.  So it wasn't all terrible...but in review I'd say it was a bust.

We're looking forward to whatever 2012 brings and enjoying all the happy moments we can while we have them.  :-)

Random Miles Entertaining Tidbits

When asked what he wants for Christmas (a few weeks before) he said "I want a cat.  But Mommy, one that doesn't talk.  And I need a black one."  :-)  Totally random, but I love it.

When we let him open a present on Christmas Eve (a tradition that my Dad started a long time ago when I was little) we chose a couple of DVDs so he could watch them that evening.  His response upon opening it?  (with a sad face) "But why did I not get to open a playing toy?" :-)  He's nothing if not honest.

When we were at Brad's parent's house eating dinner with Ryan & Shera for Christmas, we had Christmas Vacation on tv while we ate.  The scene where Clark is fantasizing about his new pool and the chick from the lingerie counter taking her swim suit off on the diving board came on.  Miles was completely fixated on  the tv.  When we asked him if he thought she was pretty and if that was his girlfriend he started blushing and said "No.  My girlfriend's Nicholas." (which refers to Astrid from How to Train Your Dragon.

Miles loves his Aunt Kitty.  But that is how he knows her.  When we were all passing out gifts at Mom and Dad's house, Mom was having Miles be her elf.  He was delivering the gifts to people.  She said "Ok, take this one to Catherine."  He looked around and said "Who's Catherine?"  :-)  We all had a good laugh.  Then when Mom came to Marty he delivered her gift saying "Marty, Marty, Marty, Marty, Marty, Marty, Marty" and Aunt Bonnie was "Aunt Boney".  He was on a roll.  :-)

Lately he's been saying "Well, that's weird." and "Eeew.  That's nasty." and "What the?"  He's a regular comedian these days.  We laugh more often than not.

He's also very, very sharp.  We read Polar Express once on Christmas Eve (Thanks Aunt Marty!).  He wanted to read it tonight again.  So I said "I don't want to read it.  You read it to me."  So he went page by page telling me what was happening.  I could tell the parts where he zoned out on Christmas Eve because he just kind of made it up.  But he remembered exactly what Santa said and what the conductor said.  He's so smart sometimes it blows me away.  Remembering the words to a story after hearing it once?  Incredible.

I feel sure that God allowed him to live (when he didn't let this last baby live) so that he could do great things.  He has a purpose here.  I don't know that he'll cure cancer, although I wouldn't put it past him.  He's definitely going to be intelligent enough!  But he's going to do something amazing.  He destined for phenomenal things.  I'm just the cheerleader.  :-)

Merry Christmas!

Officially back in the throes of infertility.

I know, I know...I got pregnant on my own in September and we lost the baby a month later.  That was maybe the worst experience I've been through.  But it gave me some hope that MAYBE I was "fixed".

Well, I'm not.

I was just coming off birth control when we got pregnant the last time.  My OB says it can sometimes make your body ovulate when you come off the pill because you haven't released an egg for a while.  Looks like it worked on me...but I'm back to being effed up again.  37 day cycles aren't going to facilitate a pregnancy.

So I'm starting clomid next week.  I hate clomid and it hates me...so please pray it works!  If it doesn't we're going onto Femara instead of clomid.  Less side effects, which Brad and my coworkers will love.

I just want another baby.  I want Miles to have a sibling.  I have the sweetest little guy in the world and I know he'll be an amazing big brother...if we can give him the chance.

I'm so angry that my body won't work properly.  I'm taking Metformin too.  I was hoping that was all it would take since that's all it took with Miles...but apparently not.  So we're starting the oral meds.  I always said I wouldn't do any "treatments", but I want another baby so bad I can't stand it.  I'm pretty sure I'm back in the "I'll do anything" boat.

So keep us in your prayers...

I'm one proud mama.

So we all know my Dad is very sick.  He looks a little scary now...or I thought he would to Miles.  He has lost a large amount of weight.  So he's very, very thin and he's lost all of his hair.  His beard is more of a goatee these days and is thinning out considerably.  He has a urostomy bag, a colostomy bag, a g-tube (to drain the fluid off his abdomen and potentially to feed him by), and another spot that is capped off...all on his belly.  His belly looks like a science experiment basically.

When we were over Sunday, Mom was cleaning Dad's belly because the tape they use was irritating his skin and creating sores.  So he had his shirt up, was in pain and was being cleaned up by Mom.  Miles came in the room and wasn't the slightest bit scared of his Poppy.  He asked if he could help my Mom.  So she let him carry Poppy his medicine in a little cup.  When Dad drank all of his water, Miles said "I'll go get Poppy some more water in case he's thristy."   So he went to the kitchen and got the water and carried it back in and sat it on his bedside table.

There was also another time when I was laying in bed with Dad rubbing his arms and shoulders because he was hurting.  Miles climbed right up on the bed with us and sat with me eating something while I rubbed Dad.  It was something I wish I could've had a picture of.  My sweet boy makes all this sadness so much easier to tolerate because he's not scared and he loves his Poppy no matter what.

Seriously, I could cry.  He's so compassionate and caring.  I am so amazed that he's not scared of Poppy.  All those bags and mess on his belly don't matter to Miles because that's his Poppy and he loves him not matter what.  It's a reminder that I've done something right.  I don't know what or when I did it, but I've done good.  :-)  I don't know how I got so lucky to have such a sweet kid, but I thank my lucky stars every day for him.

The state of the union.

Well, things around these here parts are good most days.  I've started going out to Mom and Dad's to help Mom out now that Dad is home.  He's in a lot of pain most days and enjoys being rubbed on a lot, which is fine, but it's hard for one person.  So I'm going on Tuesdays, Nikki is going on Thursday and someone (extended family or one of us kids) goes out on the weekend.  So Mom's getting relief every other day or so.  It's working out pretty well so far.  We cook dinner for them, although Dad's not in the mood to eat much right now, and I did a little laundry yesterday and massaged/rubbed/scratched Dad until my arms were ready to fall off.  :-)  I'll do it again next time he asks and every time after that...because he's my Daddy and he's done the same for me for the last 30 years.

I emptied the colostomy bag last night.  Sounds like no big deal right?  It's a bag of poo.  It's not as bad as it could be for sure!  I did great.  :-)  I was so proud and felt so accomplished!  Dad warned me over and over how disgusting it is...but really it's not that bad.  I mean, I have a 3 year old, poop is a way of life...and having it on my hands is far worse than emptying a container of it with gloves on and Clorox wipes at the ready.  It's ain't no thang!  Plus, now I can do that and Mom can take a real, honest, full-time break while I'm there and not have to run in and do it.  Hooray!

Miles has started to feel the changes around him.  He was acting up at school a couple of weeks ago and we've refocused and made him our focus when we're home and made sure he knows what's going on and feels loved and knows we're super proud of him when he does well at school.  He's done better, but it's still hard on him.  And Lord is it ever hard on Mama's psyche!  Last night, while I was at Mom and Dad's, Brad was putting him to bed.  He cried and cried and cried for me...even begged Brad to lay in bed with him while he fell asleep.  :-(  (Mama's heart broke when she heard that.)  So I promised him this morning that even when I'm gone in the evenings I'll iChat with him before he goes to bed and give him air kisses.  He seemed okay with that...so we'll see how he handles that.

Aside from that we're all good.  Almost gave Dudley away Sunday...but Brad convinced me to keep that little varmint.  Oh and I've lost 6 pounds in a month.  :-)  Yay me!

The last 2 months have been insane.

No excuse for laziness, but it's the truth ladies and gentlemen.

Well, on 9.6.11 we found out we were pregnant.  It was a complete surprise...total accident, not any less wanted...but certainly a surprise.  After 3 blood draws and 6 ultrasounds we miscarried last week on 10.12.11.  Very, very sad day.  We'll try again next year, but we're going to play that by ear.

On top of that sadness, we found out last month that my Dad's cancer is back and it's not looking good.  Dad is currently in the hospital (has been for 4 weeks) and is finally able to eat semi-solid food again.  After many scans and a surgery, he's finally starting to hurt a little less and be less nauseated.  Mom says it's looking like they'll go home Saturday, which happens to be her birthday.  So happy birthday to Mom!

Oh!  And in addition to all that sadness, my little brother Nicholas got married.  :-)  It was a lovely affair and I can't wait to see some pics from it.  I only have a couple of me, Zac and Nic and one of Evaline.  We were able to Skype Dad in for the ceremony.  So he got to see Nic before the wedding and everyone after the wedding.  We even got a few pics with him in them on my phone.  :-)

Okay, more later...but that's all for now!

These days...

So what's happening right now with the famdamily?

Miles is learning new stuff every day.  His imaginative play is getting so interesting to just watch.  I love to sit back and watch him imagine different scenarios and act them out.  It's really kind of exploded lately.  He's doing lots of interesting, fun trips with his grandparents lately too.  He spent the morning at the Zoo with Granny one day and went to a minor league baseball game with his Grandma, Papa & Shera.  His good looks and outgoing personality got him a baseball from the pitcher before the game.  :-)

Brad has taken up mountain biking.  He did a race on his dad and sister's encouragement.  He had such a great time and it was fantastic exercise for him.  So he bought a bike and he's started riding and is signing up for a major race next month.  The downside?  It's a 24 hour race so he'll be riding for 24 hours AND Miles and I will be camping at the site for 24 hours.  Yep..that's not ideal for me at least.

Me?  Same old thing.  I'm shooting pictures like these.  I've decided to get back to basics with the photography and quit worrying about getting paid and do it more because it's what makes me happy and learn my craft more and more.  One day I'll be great...for now I'm just happy.

Morning convo

Brad: Be good to Mommy today while I'm at work.

Miles: Ok. I will. I won't slap her or bite her.

Haha!! I guess at least I've got that going for me!

Milesy funnies...

These are things that Miles has said that I have posted on Facebook, but not here, but that I want to remember forever.  Enjoy!

Walking into Kroger as it was raining, I was carrying Miles to be quick. He reached up and tried to cover my head so I wouldn't get rained on. Such a gentleman. I guess he might love me.

Miles goes into Grandma and Papa's room and comes out with a basket FULL of eggs that have yet to be hidden and says to everyone "Happy Easter!"

Miles called me "Baby Mama" this evening. :-) I've been called worse...

Me: Miles, will you help me put the clothes in the washer?

Miles: Of course!

Miles got some Nerds earlier from Grandma. Running up to me to ask for more: "Mommy! Can I please have some more turds?"

As I'm waiting on this annoyingly slow truck to get the heck outta my way, from the backseat comes "Go on ladies! Gosh!" Uh oh!

Brad: Miles move over. Daddy has a big butt.

Miles: Mommy has a big butt too! Mommy, you have a big butt.
Nice...

Kermit and Miss Piggy are on TV. When asked who it is, Miles responds "It's the Muffins! I love the Muffins!"

In a restaurant and Miles hears Rascall Flatts' "Life is a Highway". He says "What's that noise? That's Cars! It's Mack Mommy!"

Miles singing Bieber goes like this "Rockbye baby, Rockbye Baby, Rockybye Baby, oh...rockbye baby..."

Miles just asked for another bite of his "Charlie Brown". Can you guess what that is?

Miles just requested "the 'round town song" (aka Cee Lo Green's "Forget You"...the clean version). The kid's got taste!

After giving Miles his yogurt, I say "Miles, what do you say?". His response "I thank thee." Uhm where does he get this stuff? We watch Pixar, not Shakespeare.

Miles: I want my Nukkie mama.

Me: You don't need it. Big boys don't need Nuks.

Miles: I don't wanna big a big boy!

Uhm at school today the kids watched a movie and ate Froot Loops. On our way out the door Miles was holding his belly (aka pocket on his shirt) so I asked if he was ok. He said "Keeping my Froot Loops safe.". Apparently he was filling his pocket and they thought he was eating them...so he had quite a stash by the time I got there!

Just asked Miles to show me his lizard (that he got at school today) and he pulled his pull-up off. Hmmmm...

Miles to me this weekend upon seeing the plastic Dracula on Mom and Dad's front porch: "Mommo, that's Dracula. He kills people." Uhm. You're two...how do you know that?
