...I would've noticed this earlier in the day!

Well, you saw my post below about my birthday cake. It was/is awesome. Well, I took it to work today so that it would not go to waste. I had to cut about an inch off it to get the yucky edges off. I cut it and left it sitting there on the table for people to grab a bite as they wanted it. Well, I walked back in from the restroom and noticed that where I cut off that little bit I took off a bit of the dress and it made it look a bit...well...naughty.

So I threw a blanket over her no-no secret place.

:-) Gotta give a girl some privacy.

...the baby would come and I wouldn't have to dread going back to work.

I don't dread being around my co-workers again...a little company would be nice. But after being off for a week I realize how tired things make me. We had our prenatal class last Saturday from 9:30-5 (total waste of $50 by the way and we only stayed until about 3:30). We ran to Babies-R-Us to pick up a few last items we needed for M's arrival. When we got home I was exhausted...I barely had the energy to move. Yesterday we had our breastfeeding class from 7-9 and I didn't know if I could make it all the way through it because I was so tired.

So I'm wondering how going to work 8:30-5 is going to work for me. It's not that I want to be on bedrest anymore...it's no fun at all, even modified bedrest. But I'm so afraid that work is going to exhaust me...and I'm so darn uncomfortable already and I have 5 more weeks until he's actually due! Doesn't sound like a long time until you feel like I do right now (you Mommies know what I'm talking about). I'm permanently waddling wherever I go and sitting is sometimes the most uncomfortable position to be in. So sitting at a desk all day makes me want to cry...especially when a Braxton Hicks contraction kicks in.

But I see the doc this afternoon and she'll give me my new rules...so we'll see. I'll keep ya posted.

...everyone would get a cake this amazing for their birthday!

My 27th birthday was Friday. Brad, Popp and I met Mom, Dad, Zac and Nikki in Frankfort for dinner at Johnny Carino's. It was delicious! I knew they had something planned for desert, but I figured it was just to have the waiters come out and embarass me with their horrid singing. But no! They brought out the most fabulous birthday cake a preggers girl could EVER ask for! Check it out!!

...house arrest would be more fun than this.

Yes, you read that right. I'm on house arrest...or a modified form of it. I called the doc yesterday because I was having some cramping that I'm not used to and hadn't noticed before. I figured it was just Braxton Hicks contractions and they would tell me not to worry so much. They had me come in just to check me and make sure I wasn't dilating.

*this gets kind of graphic...so if you're a man or not interested in the gorey details...skip this*

She did an internal exam to check my cervix and luckily it was closed, firm and pretty much locked up like Ft. Knox. When she finished blood gushed out of me. The doctor got very nervous and got the nurse and she had to put pressure on my cervix for 2-3 minutes before it would quit bleeding. (By no means an enjoyable way to spend a few minutes!) She had me call Brad to come and get me and take me to the hospital. That of course made him panic and he drove like a madman to get to the doctor's office.

We went to the hospital and they hooked me up to the fetal monitors and during that 15 minutes there were no contractions...so that's good. They took me in for an ultrasound and checked M and he was perfect as usual. The placenta looked fine and still attached very strong. The amniotic fluid was still fine and I didn't appear to be leaking any. My cervix was just as the doc said, firm and closed. Everything appears to be fine...no explanation of why I gushed blood all over the doctor and her floor.

She put me on restriction for a week until I see her again. I'm allowed to move around and leave the house to get some dinner or lunch...but I'm supposed to rest a lot. She said no house work, no work, no cooking...basically rest all the time. So that's what I'm doing. I'm still worried about why I freakishly and randomly gushed a ton of blood without any reason...but they said everything is fine...so I'm just resting easy. So that's the latest in my world.

...everyone would feel as loved as I did yesterday!

My shower was yesterday and it was fantastic! My cousins, Amanda and Catherine, planned/hosted the whole thing. They did such a great job! They did a rubber ducky theme. We even had a duck cake...it was phenomenal. I was so happy that everyone came...with it being Mother's Day weekend and gas being $74/gallon. We had people from Nashville, Ashland, Lexington, Louisville, Versailles, all over!

Everyone was so thoughtful and giving. We got tons of great things for M. He won't need many clothes that's for sure! (Well until he's 4 months that is!) We actually have very few things we need to buy still to be completely ready for him. We've got a long way to go to put all the goods away and plenty of laundry to do. :-)

So for those that read this that were able to come - THANK YOU SOOOOO MUCH! It means a lot to us that you all care so much. M will surely be a very loved baby...and all babies should be as loved as humanly possible.

Here's our AWESOME cake!!! (That was homemade by my very talented cousins!)

...I would've posted these earlier...

I know it's been 5 weeks since the last belly shots...so here is your fix. :-)

I am 33 weeks here...only 7 to go! Can you believe it?!
