My cousin, who is the closest thing to a sister I have, made Brad and I a wonderful video. It's a work in progress. She's going to continue to update it throughout the pregnancy and will also be making a video of the delivery as well. Sorry folks, no crotch shots, but it will be wonderfully sappy I'm sure. So here is a little preview of the remix for those who love this baby as much as we do already! :-) Thanks Amanda! I love you!!!
PS-There is sound...so turn up your speakers and enjoy the tunes of Jack Johnson...one of my faves!

...my dreams for M will be realized.
I want him to be a strong man. I want him to have strong values. I want him to understand early on that lying will only make things worse and that it does no one any good. I want him to believe that everyone is a person with feelings regardless of their color, religion, nationality, sexual preference, or whatever else people pick on to separate us. I want him to feel loved, safe, and secure. I want him to express himself and be who he is...not who he thinks he should be. I want him to feel heartbreak so that he can appreciate love and happiness that much more. I want him to take pride in his work and things he has, not always desire things he doesn't have and only look at the monetary value of things. I want him to always follow the Golden Rule. I want him to be kind to people and realize that what goes around comes around. I want him to know how much his Daddy and I love him and that we would go to the end of the universe for him if he needed us to.
There is so much more, but those are the ones that are most important to me. I really want to raise a son that is just like his father. If there were more people like B in the world it would most certainly be a much better place for all of us. So hopefully our little boy will view his Dad as a hero and want to grow up just like him. It will be a gift to us all if that is the case.
He does need to have my sense of adventure and curiosity though. ;-)

...people would realize they're being selfish and QUIT IT!
I just really don't understand why people have to be selfish. Help me, help me, help me...but I can only help you if it's convenient for me and IF you do something in return. Seriously, whatever happened to helping someone to feel good about it? Maybe I'm crazy and biased, but B and I help people all the time...sometimes if it inconveniences us or makes us reschedule plans. How many people do that in return? VERY few. There are some...I'm not saying no one, but very few-like I could count them on one hand. I realize it more and more each day.
That whole "Pay It Forward" deal would never work in reality because the world is too darn selfish. People only think of themselves and how they can benefit from something. It's insane. I really hope that B and I can instill values in M that make him not even need to think about helping someone. I want him to want to help people and help them because they need him and he can, not because he will somehow benefit from it. I think that will make him a very loved, valued, and respected individual in the end.
Too bad not everyone else feels this way...

...I could hold my baby right now cuz he's so darn cute!
The 3D ultrasound went fantastic! He looked great and the ultrasound tech commented on how active he is. I TOLD YOU HE WAS A WIGGLE WORM! :-) We got another great shot of his goods and he's definitely a HE still. hehe. She measured his feet because let's face it...neither Mom nor Dad have small feet. I wear an 11 in womens and Brad wears a 15 in mens so we're talkin' some big ole feet potential. Well, clearly big feet are the dominant gene because his feet, at almost 28 weeks, are already as big as newborn socks and shoes. The 0-3 month socks MIGHT fit him for an hour. :-) So looks like M will have special order shoes for his lifetime just like his papa.

So here are a few shots of him. If I can add the videos I will, but they're pretty large so I might have to get my videographer cuz to shrink 'em for me if possible. :-) For now, here are his first headshots. hehe. I LOVE HIM SO MUCH!

...13 weeks wouldn't seem so close!
That's right...13 weeks to go! I'm in the 3rd trimester and M is scheduled to arrive (assuming he isn't late like his maternal grandmother's side of the family always are!) June 26th. It might seem far away to some, but to me that's SOON! While yes, the being pregnant part is getting old quick and I can still see my toes and still have a belly button...but the joys that come with it are wearing out their welcome quickly.
We're going on Monday for a 3D ultrasound of our little fella. We weren't going to spend the money, but we couldn't think of anything for my parents to get us for our birthdays (Brad in March and me in May) so they're going to spring for our ultrasound while my brother is home from Iraq (before going back for a year)...so he can see his nephew's little face (hopefully!). So that will be exciting and I'll definitely post some photos afterward.
No new developments in my neck of the woods. He's much more active. I'm wondering if he has ADHD already...I guess only time will tell. :-) Luckily, with my schooling I should be able to spot it a mile away. Well, that's all for now. Check back after Monday night for 3D ultrasound pics.
PS-New belly shot will also be on the way!
