...I have a walker!

Here he is in all his mobile glory. He's randomly taking a few steps. He's still pretty unsteady, but he knows HOW to do it and he WANTS to do it all the time...he just can't yet. It's only a matter of a week or two before we're on the move BIG time. :-) It's enough to make a Mama cry with pride. (We've also figured out how to crawl on all fours...)

This is hands down the greatest sound in the history of the world.

Daddy loves to steal sugar from M's belly. M in turn loves to have the sugar stolen. They're a great pair.

...I wouldn't have to write this about a "new" sitter.

Why I big, puffy heart our new sitter:

1.) She babies M.

2.) She is kind to him and us.

3.) She sends home art projects…even if he doesn’t do them himself completely she’s taking time to get him into something artsy…and just DOING something with him rather than watching him crawl around and telling him no all the time.

4.) She is cooperative and never acts like anything is a pain in her neck.

5.) She snuggles my baby for me when he needs it since I can’t be there.

6.) She encourages him to play with the “big” kids rather than be surrounded by babies all day.

7.) She called me his first day before I could call her to tell me he was doing fine because she knew I was worried. She cares.

8.) Her “center” feels like home (meaning cozy) to me and I’m sure it does to M too.

9.) She loves to have him (and all the other kids) outside as much as possible.

10.) She treats him like one of her own and in this case it’s a good thing.

...my hair would look this good.

...everything would be easy.

Well, that's not how it all goes down does it? It's been a very eventful couple of weeks for the Clark family. We have a new sitter, as of today, which has been very difficult for us all. After a stressful day we pulled M from the sitter he's been with since he was 3 months old. That was a very hard thing to do, especially knowing how reliant he is on routines and schedules.

But for his benefit we did it anyway. Luckily, he had family available to play with him all day. To say he was spoiled the entire time would be putting it mildly. Through all of this he was fighting a double ear infection, horrible side effects of the antibiotics, and some new teeth (that still haven't reared their ugly heads yet). So it's been rough on him and us...

He went from rolling to get where he wanted to go, to Army crawling, to trying to walk on his own behind a walk-behind toy. It's been a wild ride and I'm pretty sure it's only going to get more interesting! So here is a video of the last couple of months. :-) Easter through today.

...Mother's Day would never end.

Well, I celebrated my first Mother's Day...it was wonderful. Brad got me some cinnamon raisin biscuits and ran me a hot bubble bath. It was wonderful. Then we went to Louisville to eat at Panera, but it was too crowded. So we did. PF Changs instead. Yummy!

Brad wanted to get me some running shoes like his but thanks to pregnancy no one had my size. (damn big feet). So he bought me some perfume instead. :-)

Yes, ladies and germs...the old layout is back. No one complained, but I hated that other crap. It was too busy and "frilly" for me. So we're back to basics. Hope you're happy! :-P
